Support for several days or weeks while you travel, visit family or take time to recharge.
Help when plans change suddenly, such as if you become unwell or have an unexpected commitment.
Respite covers the same support you usually give, delivered your way: personal care, medication, meals and drinks, companionship, outings and settling at night. For people living with dementia, we keep routines steady and familiar.

We keep things as close to normal as possible, with the same home, same routines and same favourite things. If you would like updates, we can send a short message after visits, and we will always contact you or your chosen person if anything changes.
As a family carer in Bolton, you have the right to a free carer's assessment from Bolton Council. It can help identify support for you, which may include funding for respite. We can explain how to ask for one, and point you towards local carers' support groups.
Respite can be self-funded, arranged through Bolton Council after a needs or carer's assessment, or paid for with direct payments or a personal budget. We will talk through the options when you call.
Every respite carer completes enhanced DBS, reference and right to work checks, safeguarding training and a structured induction. Visits are recorded and reviewed by our management team.
