Supported Living in Bolton
A calm, predictable home life, with support that understands autism and respects who you are. We support autistic adults to live in their own home, with routines that make sense, spaces that feel comfortable and a team who communicate your way.
Autism affects how people experience the world, communicate and process information. Some people need a little support, others need a lot, and needs can change from day to day. We take time to understand each person's strengths, interests, sensory profile and what helps them feel safe, then build support around them.
Clear daily plans, visual timetables and plenty of notice before anything changes.
Lighting, sound, textures and space adjusted to suit each person.
Speech, text, pictures or communication devices, with time to process and respond.
Staff stay calm, reduce demands and understand that meltdowns and shutdowns are responses to overwhelm.
Special interests are valued and built into everyday life.
Support with health checks, reasonable adjustments at appointments and emotional wellbeing.

We work with each person to make their home comfortable, which might include:
Change can be hard, so we plan every move carefully. Before moving in, people can see photos of their new home and the team, visit at their own pace and gradually get to know us. Afterwards, a small, consistent team provides support, and any changes to staff or routines are explained well in advance.
See the home and meet the team on screen first.
A first look around, at your own pace.
More time in the home as it becomes familiar.
A planned move with people you already know.

We support autistic adults with and without a learning disability, and people with additional mental health or physical health needs. Support is always tailored to the individual, never to a label.
Families are involved in planning and reviews, with consent. Commissioners and social workers can view our referral process, staffing models and outcomes, or make a secure referral online.
Our support workers complete enhanced DBS, reference and right to work checks, safeguarding and mental capacity training, and learning disability and autism training. We use positive, person-centred approaches, avoid restrictive practices and review medicines regularly with each person's GP.
Use this form if you are an autistic adult, a family member or a friend. You can choose to be contacted by email or text instead of a phone call. Professionals should use our secure referral form.
This form is not for emergencies. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
